Youth Services

The CCMEP TANF and WIOA Youth program is contracted to WSOS CAC, Inc. to provide services to at-risk youth age 14-24. The following are the services provided to these youths to assist them in achieving a diploma/degree, employment and, measurable skill gains:

    • Tutoring
    • Study skills training
    • Instruction leading to completion of secondary school program (including dropout prevention)
    • Alternative school services
    • Mentoring by appropriate adults
    • Paid and unpaid work experience (such as internships and job shadowing)
    • Occupational skills training
    • Leadership development
    • Supportive services necessary to fulfill educational and employment objectives
    • Counseling and follow-up services
    • Financial Literacy
    • Entrepreneurial skills training
    • Labor Market and employment information services
    • Activities that prepare youth for post-secondary opportunities
    • Education/training for specific occupation
